Seventy point five. Yowch.<\/p>\n

Not only does that beat every Disney<\/a> opening weekend ever \u2014 the highest they\u2019ve ever gone is $40.9 million for The Lion King<\/a><\/i>, back in 1994 \u2014 but it also ties Pixar\u2019s record of $70.5 million for The Incredibles<\/a><\/i> (2004), and it easily beats every DreamWorks cartoon except Shrek 2<\/a><\/i> (2004), which opened with $108 million.<\/p>\n

So, bottom line: Ice Age: The Meltdown<\/i> could turn out to have the second-biggest opening weekend of any cartoon, ever<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At least until Cars<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n
