Apparently Stewart speculated on the British TV show Richard & Judy<\/a><\/i> that \u201clabeling the third film as \u2018the last one\u2019 could be just a tease to draw audiences to the theater.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, I wouldn\u2019t take this too seriously. For one thing, it has been public knowledge for months now that Hugh Jackman is developing a Wolverine<\/a><\/i> spin-off \u2014 so the fans already know there will be more of his<\/i> character, at least. Plus, four years ago, Stewart said pretty much the same thing about Star Trek: Nemesis<\/a><\/i>; the posters called that movie \u201cA Generation\u2019s Final Journey\u201d and Stewart said it wasn\u2019t necessarily so.<\/p>\n

Of course, that film turned out to be the biggest flop<\/a> in the entire franchise, so the studio had no incentive to break its implicit promise to end the series there. If this new X-Men<\/i> is a hit, on the other hand, then who knows, Wolverine<\/i> may not be enough.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
