Somehow, despite poor distribution for Canadian films in general and my own unusually poor attendance at this year\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2005\/09\/viff-2005-movie-going-schedule.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Vancouver film festival<\/a>, I have already seen five of them (in <b>bold<\/b>):<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>C.R.A.Z.Y<br>Familia<br><b>A History of Violence<\/b><br>Horloge Biologique (Dodging the Clock)<br>The Life and Hard Times of Guy Terrifico<br><b>Memory for Max, Claire, Ida and Company<br>La Neuvaine<\/b><br>A Simple Curve<br><b>Water<br>Where the Truth Lies<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia\">In addition to the five that I have seen, <i>C.R.A.Z.Y.<\/i> is currently playing in local theatres, so I may be able to bump my seen-it count up to six.  I expect the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cinematheque.bc.ca\/now.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">Pacific Cinematheque<\/a> will probably host a series devoted to these films in the near future, too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>And just for the record, I really liked <i>La Neuvaine<\/i> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadianchristianity.com\/cgi-bin\/na.cgi?nationalupdates\/050929viff\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">my blurb<\/a>) and <i>Memory for Max, Claire, Ida and Company<\/i>.
