The documentary, from Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady (\u201cThe Boys of Baraka\u201d), was shot during the summer, and is targeted for 2006.<\/p>\n<p>Dubuc said both films are festival contenders that will be seeking theatrical distribution. Other titles in the A&amp;E; IndieFilms stable have included ThinkFilm\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2005\/07\/murderball-quadriplegics-kick-ass.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Murderball<\/a>\u201d and Newmarket\u2019s \u201cRock School.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a name=\"4\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">4.<\/a> <i><a href=\"http:\/\/movies.yahoo.com\/mv\/news\/va\/20051028\/113049090900.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i> has a long-ish piece up on the many <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2005\/10\/is-this-why-howard-shore-was-replaced.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">King Kong<\/a><\/i>-related DVDs that are currently in the works:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>There has been no rest for the weary on the Wellywood set of \u201cKing Kong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Award-winning DVD producer Michael Pellerin and his team have been running as fast as they can to keep up with Oscar-winning \u201cLord of the Rings\u201d producer-writer-director Peter Jackson. Somehow, while Jackson was in the throes of creating his three-hour, $207 million epic remake of his favorite childhood classic, the tireless filmmaker also was supplying commentary not only for the eventual \u201cKing Kong\u201d DVD but also for a video set diary posted twice-weekly on the Internet, as well as a documentary for the long-awaited DVD of the 1933 \u201cKing Kong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On scattered soundstages in Wellington, New Zealand, selected members of the \u201cKing Kong\u201d crew participated not only in setting daunting new standards in digital effects for the new movie but also in painstaking recreations of six minutes of lost footage from the 1933 film, using the archaic special effects methods of that period. . . .<\/p>\n<p>Fans who want to know more about the original \u201cKing Kong\u201d will be able to rent or buy the 1933 classic DVD on November 22 (from Warner Home Video); the set diary DVD, which spans the first 54 entries, comes out December 13 (from Universal Home Video), the day before the new \u201cKing Kong\u201d opens. And the ultra-deluxe \u201cKing Kong\u201d 2005 two-disc DVD will go on sale in April.<\/p>\n<p>Pellerin insists that they\u2019ve saved plenty of goodies for the \u201cultimate DVD,\u201d he says. \u201cIn the \u2018Kong\u2019 2005 set diaries, we couldn\u2019t show the cool stuff.
