A number of these searches seem to be tied to the releases of certain films; for example, lately, a few people have been looking for \u201cfoosa\u201d, the predatory animals in Madagascar<\/a><\/i>. And for a few weeks now, people have also been looking for various things related to Star Wars<\/a><\/i> and Kingdom of Heaven<\/a><\/i> \u2014 in fact, \u201ckingdom of heaven historical inaccuracies\u201d and \u201ckingdom of heaven quotes\u201d seem to be very popular search requests right now.<\/p>\n

And then there are the more idiosyncratic, one-off requests, like the persons who were searching just this morning for \u201cbad movie physics indiana jones\u201d and \u201cshrek satirize the traditional heroes journey\u201d. I love you guys, whoever you are.<\/p>\n

But what makes me scratch my head are the requests that have come in, week after week, for \u201cthe meaning of 7\u201d and \u201cnooooo\u201d. That\u2019s right, quite a few people have been searching for \u201cnooooo\u201d, and the search always brings them to this post<\/a> on my wife\u2019s reaction to the trailer for Serenity<\/i>. (Come to think of it, there have been a few searches a la<\/i> \u201cis there sound in space\u201d, too.)<\/p>\n

One or two searches of the \u201cnooooo\u201d sort wouldn\u2019t make any impression on me. But it\u2019s been happening for a while now. What on earth are these people looking for, I wonder?<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
