Ray Winstone is going back to the Bible. The British actor \u2014 who played Quintus Arrius in the TV version of Ben-Hur<\/a><\/i> and the villainous Tubal-Cain in Darren Aronofsky\u2019s Noah<\/a><\/i> \u2014 has signed on to play Saul, the paranoid first king of Israel, in Of Kings and Prophets<\/a><\/i>, the ABC pilot that is being written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, the original writers<\/a> of Ridley Scott\u2019s Exodus: Gods and Kings<\/a><\/i>.<\/p>\n

Deadline<\/a> reports that the pilot, which could lead to a full series, will be filmed in South Africa and directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff, who also directed the pilots for the TV shows Chicago Fire<\/i> and Hostages<\/i>. His other credits include the screenplays for The Day after Tomorrow<\/a><\/i> and Traitor<\/i>, the latter of which he also directed.<\/p>\n
