(The third has its moments, but only moments.) The prequels, on the other hand, have been an overblown bore, and Lucas has shown a remarkable ability to elicit very bad performances from otherwise good actors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia\">But the one thing that has remained remarkably good across the entire series has been John Williams\u2019s music.  And now comes <\/span><i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/news\/sb\/2005-03-16#film5\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">this<\/a><\/i><span style=\"font-family: georgia\"> bit of news:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The soundtrack CD of John Williams\u2019 score for <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith<\/span> will be accompanied by a special 70-minute DVD,   <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Star Wars: A Musical Journey<\/span>, when it is released on May 3, Sony Classical announced Tuesday. The DVD will feature Williams conducting excerpts from his <span style=\"font-style: italic\">Star Wars <\/span>scores behind 16 \u201cmusic videos\u201d compiled from all six films that will include original dialogue and sound effects. Each \u201cmovement,\u201d will be introduced by Ian McDiarmid, who plays Senator Palpatine.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia\">Sounds grand! It almost sounds like they\u2019re taking a cue (no pun intended) from all the bonus-DVD treatment that <\/span><span style=\"font-style: italic;font-family: georgia\">The Lord of the Rings<\/span><span style=\"font-family: georgia\">\u2018 Howard Shore got.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I loved the original Star Wars trilogy as I was growing up, and I still adore the first two films in particular.
