1.<\/a> Marvel fans can rest easy! Samuel L. Jackson will<\/i> be back as Nick Fury<\/a> after all \u2014 not once, not twice, not thrice, but in nine<\/i> different movies, including Iron Man 2<\/a><\/i>, Thor<\/a><\/i>, Captain America<\/a><\/i>, The Avengers<\/a><\/i> and possibly an entire movie devoted to Fury\u2019s organization S.H.I.E.L.D. \u2014 Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n

2.<\/a> Iron Man<\/i> director Jon Favreau has apparently indicated that Emily Blunt<\/a> will not<\/i> be in the sequel after all. Meanwhile, the filmmakers have sent out an \u201cethnically diverse\u201d casting call, and a sneak peek at the first page of the script has fans speculating that the next movie will follow the \u2018Demon in a Bottle<\/a>\u2018 storyline from the comics. \u2014 MTV Splash Page<\/a> (x2<\/a>, x3<\/a>)<\/p>\n

3.<\/a> The Spider-Man<\/a><\/i> musical<\/a> being developed by Julie Taymor and U2\u2019s Bono and The Edge now has a title and an official opening date: it is called Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark<\/a><\/i> and it will open February 18, 2010. \u2014 Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n

4.<\/a> Watchmen<\/a><\/i> had its world premiere in London Monday night, and the reviews are mixed, ranging from \u201cthis really will be a blast\u201d to \u201cspirit-crushingly disappointing\u201d. Producer Lawrence Gordon \u201cmight have the most complicated feelings\u201d about the film\u2019s box-office performance, given that he is entitled to a fair chunk of the revenues but he could also be sued by Warner Brothers for his part in enabling the recent 20th Century Fox lawsuit<\/a>.
