Maybe, maybe not, but for now, Warner Brothers is staying on his good side by producing his next film, a sci-fi flick called Inception<\/i>; the film is described as \u201ca contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.\u201d So will it be sort of like Nolan\u2019s second film, Memento<\/a><\/i> (2000), but with more special effects and chase scenes? \u2014 Variety<\/a><\/i>, Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i><\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/a> Terminator: Salvation<\/a><\/i> director McG may or may not be using Benjamin Button<\/a><\/i>-style effects to put a young Arnold Schwarzenegger<\/a> in his robot movie. McG says he is also talking to Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke about contributing to the movie\u2019s soundtrack \u2014 but a Radiohead publicist says Yorke\u2019s involvement in the film is nothing more than a rumour at this point. \u2014 MTV Movies Blog<\/a> (x2<\/a>), Entertainment Weekly<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n

3.<\/a> In a similar vein, Curtis Hanson is in talks to direct Gemini Man<\/i>, which concerns an aging assassin who wants to retire, but whose bosses won\u2019t let him; instead, they send a younger clone of the assassin to bump off his older self. \u201cThe concept allows for some techno-wizardry whereby an older actor with a long career would be cast, and his younger likeness would be digitally grafted onto a stuntman\u2019s body.\u201d \u2014 Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n

4.<\/a> The Day the Earth Stood Still<\/a><\/i> is coming to DVD and Blu-Ray April 7 \u2014 and while it will have an audio commentary by screenwriter David Scarpa, it will not<\/i> have one by director Scott Derrickson. That\u2019s a shame, as Derrickson\u2019s commentary on the DVD for his previous film, The Exorcism of Emily Rose<\/a><\/i> (2005), is one of the more intelligent and articulate commentary tracks out there. \u2014 ComingSoon.net<\/a>, IGN.com<\/a><\/p>\n

5.<\/a> The physicists at CERN would like to assure us that Angels & Demons<\/a><\/i>, the sequel to The Da Vinci Code<\/a><\/i> (2006), is a work of fiction. They would like to assure us of this because the film concerns a secret society that tries to destroy the Vatican with antimatter stolen from CERN\u2019s laboratory. \u201cThe basic problem is the concept of antimatter,\u201d says CERN spokesman James Gillies. \u201cYou cannot make that much.\u201d The physicists at CERN are also keen to note that antimatter may have its positive uses, like treating cancer. \u2014 Reuters<\/a><\/p>\n

6.<\/a> Disney has hired Justin Marks (He-Man<\/i>, Voltron<\/i>, Street Fighter<\/i>) to rewrite the script for their Jules Verne prequel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Captain Nemo<\/a><\/i>. Marks has been brought on as a \u201cworld builder\u201d to expand upon the deep-sea universe created in the screenplay\u2019s previous draft, which was written by Bill Marsilii (Deja Vu<\/a><\/i>). \u2014 Variety<\/a><\/i>, Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n

7.<\/a> The Day of the Triffids<\/i> is upon us again. The BBC will air a brand new British-Canadian adaptation of John Wyndham\u2019s novel later this year, starring Dougray Scott, Joely Richardson, Brian Cox, Eddie Izzard, Jason Priestley and Vanessa Redgrave.
