Ben-Hur<\/a><\/i> comes to theatres on August 19 \u2014 that\u2019s just over two months from now \u2014 so it\u2019s time for another trailer. And the newest trailer features even more footage of Jesus, whose face was famously kept hidden in the earlier films based on this story.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\nHere are a few highlights:<\/p>\nJudah Ben-Hur tells Messala, \u201cYou will always be my brother.\u201d Messala replies, \u201cI\u2019m an orphan your father took in.\u201d (In Lew Wallace\u2019s original novel, Messala\u2019s father is still alive when the friendship between Judah and Messala comes to an end.)<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2016\/06\/benhur2016-cp-2.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-47260\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2016\/06\/benhur2016-cp-2.png\" alt=\"benhur2016-cp-2\" width=\"600\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-47260\"><\/a><\/p>\nJesus meets Judah Ben-Hur <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/2016\/03\/watch-rodrigo-santoro-talks-about-playing-jesus-in-a-new-ben-hur-featurette.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">much earlier<\/a> than he did in the novel. Jesus says, \u201cLove your enemies. God is love. He has a plan for you.\u201d Judah asks, \u201cIf he\u2019s already decided my path, how am I better off than a slave?\u201d Jesus replies, \u201cWhy don\u2019t you ask God?\u201d<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2016\/06\/benhur2016-cp-1.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-47259\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2016\/06\/benhur2016-cp-1.png\" alt=\"benhur2016-cp-1\" width=\"600\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-47259\"><\/a><\/p>\nIn this film\u2019s version of the famous scene in which Jesus gives Judah <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/2016\/03\/watch-jesus-gives-judah-a-drink-in-a-new-ben-hur-trailer.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">a drink of water<\/a>, Jesus takes the cup directly from the Roman officer\u2019s hand:<\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2016\/06\/benhur2016-cp-3.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-47261\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.patheos.com\/blogs\/sites\/227\/2016\/06\/benhur2016-cp-3.png\" alt=\"benhur2016-cp-3\" width=\"600\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-47261\"><\/a><\/p>\n\u201cThank you,\u201d says Judah.
