Another week, another round-up of Ben-Hur<\/a><\/i> news items, plus a few new TV spots.<\/p>\n

First, Christian Today<\/a><\/i> has a few quotes from Roma Downey, who calls the film \u201cthe most riveting opportunity of our [i.e. hers and Mark Burnett\u2019s] careers\u201d:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a feast, a beautiful re-imagining of this epic story. I think that the movie in many ways is a Trojan horse, because it\u2019s an action\/adventure movie and it delivers on that, and viewers won\u2019t be disappointed with that. It\u2019s epic. But\u2026it\u2019s a story of redemption, a story of reconciliation, a story about forgiveness,\u201d she says about the film.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Second, the gospel duo Mary Mary indicated in an Instagram post<\/a> that they are recording a new song for Ben-Hur<\/i>. It is not clear whether this would be for the film\u2019s official soundtrack or for a \u201cmusic inspired by the film\u201d album of some sort.<\/p>\n

Third, Motive Entertainment is inviting churches and other potential sponsors to buy out entire theatres on August 18 for a \u201cNational Premiere<\/a>\u201d event that will feature \u201cSpecial exclusive content before and after the movie featuring cast & crew\u201d.<\/p>\n
