(See <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/batman-begins\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Batman Begins<\/a><\/i>, <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/casino-royale\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Casino Royale<\/a><\/i> and <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/amazing-spider-man\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">The Amazing Spider-Man<\/a><\/i> for examples of how franchise reboots sometimes put off re-introducing certain key characters until they get their own sequels.) But, thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/news\/movienews.php?id=100244\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">ComingSoon.net<\/a>, we do have a poster that shows Nicolas Cage standing next to a downed airplane (not the one flown by his character, presumably), and it does look more like a movie poster than the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/search?hl=en&amp;client=firefox-a&amp;tbo=d&amp;rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&amp;biw=878&amp;bih=678&amp;noj=1&amp;tbm=isch&amp;sa=1&amp;q=%22left+behind%22+dvd+cover&amp;oq=%22left+behind%22+dvd+cover&amp;gs_l=img.3...1123690.1123985.0.1124080.4.4.0.0.0.0.123.360.2j2.4.0...0.0...1c.1.2.img.7l4KtY5yH88\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">straight-to-video images<\/a> that were created for the original trilogy. If only it didn\u2019t look so reminiscent of <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/knowing-2009\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Knowing<\/a><\/i> (2009), yet another apocalyptic Nicolas Cage movie that featured an airplane crash and a fair bit of biblical imagery. Not that there\u2019s anything wrong with <i>Knowing<\/i>, <i>per se<\/i>; but the similarity does make the <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/filmchat\/tag\/left-behind\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Left Behind<\/a><\/i> reboot look just that much more redundant.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No real news here, per se.
