<\/a>Various<\/a> sites<\/a> are reporting that Lionsgate TV in the UK is developing a TV series adaptation of Simon Sebag Montefiore\u2019s bestseller Jerusalem: The Biography<\/a><\/i>. The book covers the history of Jerusalem over a period of about three thousand years \u2014 from King David, who made the city his capital circa 1000 BC, to the Six-Day War in AD 1967 \u2014 and Lionsgate creative chief Steve November says the series will run for \u201cmultiple seasons<\/a>.\u201d Does this mean we\u2019ll get at least one season\u2019s worth of essentially biblical content? The book is about 500 pages long \u2014 not counting the endnotes and all the other stuff that comes after the final chapter \u2014 and over 100 of those pages span the biblical period, from David to Jesus and the destruction of Jerusalem a few decades later. So, maybe? We have, of course, seen other TV series about David and Jesus recently, from last year\u2019s Of Kings & Prophets<\/a><\/i> to A.D. The Bible Continues<\/a><\/i> the year before.
