1.<\/a> The Dark Knight<\/a><\/i> director Chris Nolan has finally come back from his vacation and given a three-part interview about the success of his film, the thematic implications of his film, the potential or lack thereof for a big-screen cross-over<\/a> with other DC Comics characters, and the possibility (and at this point, it is only<\/i> a possibility) of directing the third Batman film<\/a> himself. \u2014 Los Angeles Times<\/a><\/i> (x2<\/a>, x3<\/a>)<\/p>\n

2.<\/a> Mark Millar spills more details about the Superman<\/a><\/i> trilogy he wants to write: \u201cI want to start on Krypton, a thousand years ago, and end with Superman alone on Planet Earth, the last being left on the planet, as the yellow sun turns red and starts to supernova, and he loses his powers.\u201d He also invokes the example of Michael Corleone in the Godfather<\/a><\/i> films, which is interesting, since he pooh-poohs Superman Returns<\/a><\/i> for coming out so many years after the first two Superman<\/a><\/i> films, yet the third Godfather<\/i><\/a> came out after a similarly prolonged gap between films, and to a similarly mixed-at-best reception. \u2014 Empire<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n

3.<\/a> Remember those rumours about the allegedly altered ending<\/a> to Watchmen<\/a><\/i>, and the evidence which seemed to suggest that the rumours were bogus? Now it is said that Warner is \u201ctesting\u201d at least two different endings, both of which apparently have completed effects. 4.<\/a> Sam Mendes, who won an Oscar for directing American Beauty<\/i> (1999), is now attached to an adaptation of the Vertigo series Preacher<\/a><\/i>. \u2014 Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
