There\u2019s a famous bit in the book of Acts where Peter says, \u201cWe must obey God rather than men.\u201d A new clip from Mary Magdalene<\/a><\/i> \u2014 starring Rooney Mara as the title character and Joaquin Phoenix as Jesus \u2014 puts a new spin on that saying (intentionally or otherwise), as Jesus teaches a group of women that they must be prepared to defy their fathers and husbands if and when those men tell them to disobey God.<\/p>\n
