Barry Lyndon<\/a><\/i> (1975; my comments<\/a>) is easily one of Stanley Kubrick<\/a>\u2018s most under-rated films \u2014 it was even excluded from that recent DVD boxed set<\/a> which included all of Kubrick\u2019s other<\/i> films from the past four decades \u2014 so it\u2019s always nice to come across a new appreciation of the film, especially one that is written by someone who has just seen it for the first time. The most recent example that I\u2019ve come across is this post<\/a> by J. Robert Parks, who compares the stunning artistry of Kubrick\u2019s film with the apparently more conventional techniques used by the newest version of Brideshead Revisited<\/a><\/i>.
