1.<\/a> Denzel Washington<\/a> is going to star in The Book of Eli<\/a><\/i>, a \u201cpost-apocalyptic drama\u201d that \u201cfocuses on the not-so-distant future where America is a wasteland and a lone warrior . . . fights to bring society the knowledge that is key to its redemption.\u201d The film will be directed by Albert and Allen Hughes, whose last big-screen project was the Jack the Ripper comic-book adaptation From Hell<\/a><\/i> (2001). \u2014 Variety<\/a><\/i>, Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n

2.<\/a> Terminator Salvation<\/a><\/i> director McG sure likes his reading material. Two weeks ago, he said he got his actors to read Cormac McCarthy\u2019s The Road<\/i> as part of their research for the film. And now he says he got them to read Philip K. Dick<\/a>\u2018s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?<\/i>, the novel that inspired Ridley Scott\u2019s Blade Runner<\/a><\/i> (1982), as well \u2014 and he\u2019s even entertaining the idea of directing his own<\/i> version of that story.
