The Hollywood Reporter<\/a><\/i>, via Reuters<\/a>, is spreading the news:<\/span><\/p>\n

The British actress is in talks to board \u201cTerminator Salvation<\/a>,\u201d the fourth installment in the franchise kicked off by James Cameron in 1984. Roles in the new film have been kept under wraps, but insiders described the Bonham Carter role as small but pivotal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This brings the number of Terminator 4<\/i> actors that I have interviewed up to two, now.<\/p>\n

I met Christian Bale<\/a>, who plays John Connor in T4<\/i>, on the junket<\/a> for The New World<\/a><\/i> (2005).<\/p>\n

And I interviewed Helena Bonham Carter<\/a> for the student newspaper The Ubyssey<\/i> when she came to Vancouver to promote Margaret\u2019s Museum<\/a><\/i> (1995); see page 3 of this PDF file<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I have very fond memories of her cradling my tape recorder in her lap \u2014 most interviewees tend to ignore the thing \u2014 and at one point, I believe she took it with her into her bedroom while she went to fetch something, talking and continuing to answer one of my questions all the way.<\/p>\n

I also recall the sympathetic look she gave me when I tried to take her picture and something went wrong with my camera. Oh well, with any luck, I can try it again, one of these days.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
