We did it last year with \u201cWorld\u2019s Sexiest Woman\u201d Megan Fox<\/a>, and now we\u2019re scouting the local shopping scene with another up-and-coming actress. This time we saddled up with \u201cChronicles of Narnia:<\/a> Prince Caspian<\/a>\u201d star Anna Popplewell, who\u2019s reprising her role of older sister Susan<\/a> for a second time as the film opens today. In the video below, the young star takes us along as she searches for the right dress for the \u201cPrince Caspian\u201d premiere. Why does this catch my eye? Because of this passage from The Last Battle<\/a><\/i>, the final book in C.S. Lewis\u2019s Narnia<\/i> series:<\/p>\n

\u201cSir,\u201d said Tirian, when he had greeted all these. \u201cIf I have read the chronicle aright, there should be another. Has not your Majesty two sisters? Where is Queen Susan?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy sister Susan,\u201d answered Peter shortly and gravely, \u201cis no longer a friend of Narnia.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYes,\u201d said Eustace, \u201cand whenever you\u2019ve tried to get her to come and talk about Narnia or do anything about Narnia, she says, \u2018What wonderful memories you have! Fancy your still thinking about all those funny games we used to play when we were children.'\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh Susan!\u201d said Jill. \u201cShe\u2019s interested in nothing nowadays except nylons and lipsticks and invitations. She always was a jolly sight too keen on being grown-up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cGrown-up, indeed,\u201d said the Lady Polly. \u201cI wish she would<\/i> grow up. She wasted all her school time wanting to be the age she is now, and she\u2019ll waste all the rest of her life trying to stay that age. Her whole idea is to race on to the silliest time of one\u2019s life as quick as she can and then stop there as long as she can.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Not passing any judgment here, just noting a funny little irony.<\/p>\n

MAY 28 UPDATE: The Daily Mail<\/a><\/i> quotes Popplewell to the effect that \u201cI\u2019m not totally \u2018nylons and lipstick\u2019 orientated like Susan\u201d \u2026 and then follows her on \u201cher first grown-up fashion shoot\u201d!<\/p>\n
