So the seven-book franchise will now be an eight-movie franchise, with the final installment arriving in theatres in May 2011, only six months before the 10th anniversary of the first movie \u2014 and only six or seven months before the currently anticipated <a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2008\/02\/hobbit-is-safe-for-now.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">release date<\/a> of <i><a href=\"http:\/\/filmchatblog.blogspot.com\/2005\/01\/inklings-article-archive.html\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Hobbit<\/a><\/i>, which would be distributed by the same studio, assuming it gets made at all.  <i><a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/entertainment\/news\/movies\/la-et-potter13mar13,0,7162166.story\" target=\"_blank\" class=\" decorated-link\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Los Angeles Times<\/a><\/i> says the filmmakers won\u2019t bother to come up with an eighth subject for the eighth title, and will instead call the two films, simply, <i>Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I<\/i> and <i>Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II<\/i>.  Oh, and director David Yates, who took the reins of the franchise with last year\u2019s <i>Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix<\/i>, will be seeing it through to the end.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After months of rumours, the news became official today: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be divided into two movies.
