Meriam Yehya Ibrahim, the woman who was just freed from death row in Sudan, has been arrested AGAIN.<\/p>\n

Ibrahim had been previously arrested on death row and awaiting 100 lashes plus death by hanging once her baby, born in prison, was older and weaned. She was sentenced to the 100 lashes for adultery as the courts did not recognize her marriage to a Christian, and was sentenced to hang for apostasy because she is a Christian.<\/p>\n

After huge international outcry, she was freed from jail\u2026 until just hours ago when she, and her whole family, were arrested at the airport when trying to leave the country. According to CNN<\/a>, they are now being detained and interrogated and the National Security headquarters.<\/p>\n

This is all breaking news, so who knows what will happen. Sadly, her own family is furious that her death sentence was over turned. Her own brother stated:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe family is unconvinced by the court\u2019s decision. We were not informed by the court that she was to be released; this came as a surprise to us,\u201d Al-Hadi said. \u201cThe law has failed to uphold our rights.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is now an issue of honor. The Christians have tarnished our honor, and we will know how to avenge it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It\u2019s hard to imagine that after international outcry and overturning the death sentence, they\u2019d reinstate it. However, one just doesn\u2019t know\u2013 with her own brother demanding revenge, there\u2019s no telling how this story will play out.<\/p>\n

This my friends, is exactly why I get so furious when American Christians cry \u201cpersecution\u201d when a public bakery finds out they are legally required to bake wedding cakes for the public. Such \u201cpersecution\u201d makes a mockery of real Christian persecution\u2013 it is no different than the \u201cstolen valor\u201d concept when a civilian pretends to be a war hero.<\/p>\n

So please, the next time you think you\u2019re being \u201cpersecuted\u201d, double check to see if you\u2019ve been sentenced to be beaten and hung, or check to see if you\u2019ve been detained and interrogated, and then get back to me.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, please join me in praying for Ibrahim and her family, that they may find safe passage out of Sudan and into a country where their religious liberties and right to life will be respected.<\/p>\n
