Among other shows, I grew up watching syndicated \u201cGood Times\u201d episode as a kid after school. \u00a0I loved watching JJ\u2019s Dy-No-Mite<\/em>\u00a0and watching Janet Jackson starring as Penny the forlorn little girl whom\u00a0Willona eventually adopted<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The best\/worst episodes were the \u201cvery specials ones.\u201d (Think Nancy Reagan appearing on Diff\u2019rent Strokes to teach us how to \u201cJust Say No.\u201d)<\/p>\n

\u201cGood Times\u201d aired\u00a0a \u201cvery special episode\u201d about sexual diseases, in which Jay Leno appeared\u00a0as a guest.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure when \u201cVD\u201d turned into \u201cSTD.\u201d (According to Jeremy Lott<\/a>, the cool acronym\u00a0is now STI, for those keeping score\u00a0at home.) \u00a0But in this episode,\u00a0the producers wanted to teach viewers that\u00a0getting a disease for fooling around is nothing to hide.<\/p>\n

Why am I sharing this? \u00a0As a big fan of 1970s and 1980s television, I love the fact that Jay Leno appeared on \u201cGood Times\u201d as a guy that has an STD.<\/p>\n

Not that there\u2019s anything wrong with that.<\/p>\n
