Texas Governor Rick Perry has dropped out <\/a>of the GOP presidential race.\u00a0 He endorsed Newt Gingrich.\u00a0 So did Sarah Palin. Ex-candidate Herman Cain, however, endorsed \u201cthe people.<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

Gingrich\u2019s former wife is saying that he wanted \u201can open marriage<\/a>\u201d even as he was making speeches about family values.<\/p>\n

\nMeanwhile, Rick Santorum won the Iowa caucuses<\/a>.\u00a0 A miscount had given the victory to Mitt Romney, but it turns out that Santorum actually had 34 more votes.\n

So where does all of this leave us?\u00a0 If enough candidates drop out, might voters coalesce around someone other than Romney?\u00a0 If so, who?\u00a0 Ron Paul is, of course, a major alternative.<\/p>\n
