{"id":11463,"date":"2012-04-20T05:45:34","date_gmt":"2012-04-20T09:45:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.geneveith.com\/?p=11463"},"modified":"2012-04-20T05:45:34","modified_gmt":"2012-04-20T09:45:34","slug":"life-full-voice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/geneveith\/2012\/04\/life-full-voice\/","title":{"rendered":"Life Full Voice"},"content":{"rendered":"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\">\n<html><head><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><meta http-equiv=\"content-type\" content=\"text\/html; charset=utf-8\"><\/head><body><p>Some of you may remember Lori Lewis who occasionally has frequented this blog.\u00a0 At one point she was all involved in radio and contemporary Christian music, but then she became a confessional Lutheran and an outspoken critic of that musical scene.\u00a0 More recently she has gotten involved with opera, both as a singer and as a popularizer of that artform via radio and writing.\u00a0 Her latest project, though, is a webzine entitled<a href=\"http:\/\/everydayopera.com\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">\u00a0 Eveyday Opera<\/a>.\u00a0 It\u2019s not\u00a0 about opera; rather, it uses opera as a metaphor for what she describes in the site\u2019s slogan as \u201cLife Full Voice.\u201d\u00a0 Here is how she described it to me:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div>A little over 2 years ago I started Everyday Opera out of the need to find a platform for my own art.<\/div>\n<div>I had gone through a down time but out of it grew this idea\u2026Making Classic Art an Everyday Event.<\/div>\n<div>Personality driven, non intimidating, but with the theory that Art lifts us in our everyday experience.\u00a0 In a culture full of junk food, and I eat plenty of my share, I\u2019m a mini-evangelist for expanding one\u2019s horizon\u2019s.<\/div>\n<div id=\"premium-content\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Opera is the metaphor here for living Live Full Voice. That is how an Opera Singer sings\u2026Full Voice<\/div>\n<div>We encourage the thinking that all of life can be lived Full Voice, whether you are a great singer,<\/div>\n<div>a great chef, wine maker, farmer, mother, teacher, and on and on. (Isn\u2019t it really modeled after<\/div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0758613032?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=cranach-20&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creativeASIN=0758613032\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">The Spirituality of the Cross<\/a>?
