Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, after saying that he was \u201cnot ready\u201d to endorse Donald Trump, is now ready. \u00a0He announced that he will support him after all. \u00a0Ryan, the GOP Vice-Presidential nominee in the last presidential election, by virtue of his office as House Speaker, is slated to preside at the Republican convention <\/a>in Cleveland\u00a0July 18-21.<\/p>\n

House Speaker Paul Ryan on Thursday said he\u2019s voting for presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

In an op-ed for the Janesville Gazette of Janesville, Wisconsin, Ryan \u2014 who sparked a political firestorm last month when he told CNN\u2019s Jake Tapper he was \u201cjust not ready\u201d to back his party\u2019s nominee \u2014 says he is now convinced Trump will advance the Republican agenda.<\/div>\n

\u201cI feel confident he would help us turn the ideas in this agenda into laws to help improve people\u2019s lives. That\u2019s why I\u2019ll be voting for him this fall,\u201d Ryan wrote.<\/div>\n

He added, \u201cIt\u2019s no secret that he and I have our differences. I won\u2019t pretend otherwise. And when I feel the need to, I\u2019ll continue to speak my mind. But the reality is, on the issues that make up our agenda, we have more common ground than disagreement.\u201d<\/div>\n
