But the Scripture teaches not the invocation of saints or to ask help of saints, since it sets before us the one Christ as the Mediator, Propitiation, High Priest, and Intercessor. <a name=\"article21.3\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/bookofconcord.org\/augsburgconfession.php#article21.3\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"color: #598a83;\">3]<\/span><\/a> He is to be prayed to, and has promised that He will hear our prayer; and this worship He approves above all, to wit, that in all afflictions He be called upon, <a class=\"lbsBibleRef decorated-link\" href=\"http:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/esv\/1%20John%202.1\" target=\"_blank\" data-reference=\"1 John 2.1\" data-version=\"esv\" rel=\"nofollow\">1 John 2:1<\/a>: <a name=\"article21.4\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/bookofconcord.org\/augsburgconfession.php#article21.4\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><span style=\"color: #598a83;\">4]<\/span><\/a> If any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, etc.<\/div>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy All Saints\u2019 Day!
