North Korea launched an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile in a successful test that may put the United States within the range of Kim Jong Un\u2019s nuclear weapons.<\/p>\n

The ICBM flew over 2,700 miles in space, which is more than 10 times higher than the International Space Station, which is flying only 250 miles high above the earth.<\/p>\n

According to a North Korean spokesman,<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWith this system, we can load the heaviest warhead and strike anywhere in the mainland United States . . . .This missile is far more technologically advanced than July\u2019s Hwasong-14. This signifies that our rocket development process has been completed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

American experts are agreeing with that assessment, saying that by their calculations, a North Korean nuclear missile could reach Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

She quotes President Trump, who told reporters, \u201cWe will take care of it.\u201d\u00a0 And this is a \u201csituation we will handle.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some officials are urging military action to take out Kim Jong Un\u2019s nuclear weapons capability.\u00a0 But not South Korea, whose capital of Seoul with a population of 25 million is in range of North Korea\u2019s artillery.<\/p>\n

United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley<\/a> told an emergency meeting of the Security Council that the launch \u201cbrings us closer to war.\u201d\u00a0 She also said, \u201cMake no mistake.\u201d\u00a0 If there is a war,\u00a0 \u201cthe North Korean regime will be utterly destroyed.\u201d<\/p>\n
