It\u2019s being reported that some activists want to expand the LGBT category so that it reads\u00a0LGBTQQICAPF2K+.<\/a>That needs to be done in order to be inclusive.\u00a0 This broader category is so inclusive that it includes heterosexuals.<\/p>\n

Here is what the new proposed acronym stands for:<\/p>\n

L \u2013 lesbian<\/p>\n

G \u2013 gay<\/p>\n

B \u2013 bisexual<\/p>\n

T \u2013 transgender<\/p>\n

Q \u2013 queer<\/p>\n

Q \u2013 questioning<\/p>\n

I \u2013 intersex<\/p>\n

C \u2013 curious<\/p>\n

A \u2013 asexual<\/p>\n

A \u2013 agender<\/p>\n

A \u2013 ally<\/p>\n

P \u2013 pansexual<\/p>\n

P \u2013 polysexual<\/p>\n

F \u2013 friends and family<\/p>\n

\n

2 \u2013 two-spirit<\/p>\n

K \u2013 kink<\/p>\n

+\u2013the possibility of more, to be added later<\/p>\n

The idea is to bring in everyone whose sexual preferences go beyond normal procreative sex.\u00a0 This includes \u201ckinks\u201d; that is, people with \u201ckinky\u201d tastes, such as, I suppose, fans of the Shades of Gray<\/em> series.<\/p>\n

But it also includes \u201cfriends and family.\u201d\u00a0 Supportive family members of gay people, as well as \u201ckinks,\u201d etc., get to be counted as members of the group.\u00a0 Also their friends, heterosexual though they be.\u00a0 Also an \u201cally,\u201d someone who supports the LGBT+ agenda, is welcomed into. the group, even if he or she is into normal procreative sex.<\/p>\n

Is this expansion of the category an initiative of heterosexuals who yearn to identify with this once-maligned, once-persecuted, but now highly-respected group?\u00a0 A way for heterosexuals to get in on gay people\u2019s new status as sympathetic victims turned\u00a0 politically-correct paragons of virtue?<\/p>\n

Or is it another example of \u201cinclusion\u201d as a supreme value?\u00a0 In some circles, such as Generation Z (as we have said)<\/a>, inclusion is the one virtue to rule them all.\u00a0 Boy Scouts must be inclusive and so must admit girls.\u00a0 Women\u2019s groups to be inclusive must include men who identify as women.\u00a0 Campus Christian organizations to be inclusive must permit unbelievers to be officers.<\/p>\n

I have had gay friends.\u00a0 If this new broadened category finds acceptance, I can wrap myself in their victim status and claim all of the rights and privileges thereof.\u00a0 But I don\u2019t think I would take advantage of this opportunity.\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t want people to think I was a kink.<\/p>\n
