Critics have said that MAGA Republicans will support President Trump no matter what he does or what policies he puts into place.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not sure about that.\u00a0 There is some dissension in the camp.<\/p>\n

Trump is being accused of backtracking on some of his signature issues:<\/p>\n

\u2014Deportation of illegal immigrants<\/a>, now saying that he wants to keep the workers in agriculture and the hospitality industry, while only deporting the criminals;<\/p>\n

\u2014Not getting the U.S. entangled in Middle Eastern Wars<\/a>, but now speaking of supporting Israel in its war against Iran;<\/p>\n

\n

\u2014Imposing tariffs, especially on China<\/a>, but now walking some of those back and trying to make a deal with China.<\/p>\n

Some of his most outspoken fans, such as Tucker Carlson<\/a>, are now criticizing him for these changes in his positions.<\/p>\n

These might be cases of TACO (\u201cTrump Always Chickens Out\u201d), but that begs the question of whether he should<\/em> back down from a particular policy.\u00a0 Sometimes backing off of a policy is commendable pragmatism.<\/p>\n

If you are a Trump supporter, do these seeming compromises bother you?\u00a0 Or not?\u00a0 Is there anything that Trump might do that would<\/em> cause you to not support him, or is your support for the person himself, trusting him to do what is right?<\/p>\n

If you are a Trump critic, aren\u2019t you pleased with signs that he is willing to compromise?\u00a0 Doesn\u2019t that show that he isn\u2019t as bad as you thought he would be?<\/p><\/div>\n<\/blockquote><\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
