\"\"<\/a>When I tell people that I\u2019m Swedenborgian, I often get a blank look. Explaining that my church subscribes to the doctrines found in the works of Emanuel Swedenborg doesn\u2019t help a whole lot. Fortunately, the Swedenborg Foundation has just released a video explaining who Swedenborg was and what books to start with if you\u2019re interested in learning more (I made a similar list<\/a> a couple years ago, but the visuals were significantly less impressive, in that they were non-existent).<\/p>\n

(Oh, and by the way: \u201cSwedenborg\u201d is pronounced with a hard G, but \u201cSwedenborgian\u201d is pronounced with a soft G and only 4 syllables \u2013 i.e. swee-den-BORJ-en. Now you know.)<\/p>\n

Anyway \u2013 watch the video. I know at 8 minutes it\u2019s almost an eternity in YouTube land, but it\u2019s worth it.<\/p>\n
