This stream I sit next to \u2013 does it realize where it is going?\u00a0 Does it realize where it came from? Does it matter to it?\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0It is flowing right here, right now \u2013 so much energy, such force, such determination!\u00a0 All in one direction \u2013 blind faith; no arguments.\u00a0 It sees the rocks in the middle, the trees that grow inside the stream, all acting as obstacles, but it does not allow itself to stop herself.\u00a0 She just flows with such grace, such beauty, such purity, such val ore!<\/p>\n
\u00a0As it flows, it creates energy, power,\u00a0 a roar\u00a0 \u2013 a declaration to itself and the universe \u2013 \u201cCome on!\u00a0 This way!\u201d\u00a0 From the highest of the mountain tops to its destiny, it just flows.\u00a0 It does not even stop to rest or even reflect if it is going the right way.<\/p>\n
\u00a0When the time comes to turn, it does, when the time comes to merge into something bigger, it will, when time tells it to flow alone with grander, it does.\u00a0\u00a0 Until then flow, just flow.<\/p>\n
\u00a0And the marvel: as it flows with such intensity, such power, such steadfastness, it does not disturb the trees that grow around its banks even though the branches are just two feet above water, fortunate enough to witness the stream\u2019s strength.\u00a0 It does not disturb the animals that drink from it, it just flows.\u00a0 It does not matter if it is day or night, sunny or cloudy, if people are around or not, it just flows \u2013 keeps going \u2013\u00a0 much more powerful than my little energizer bunny!<\/p>\n
\u00a0I hear so much thunder, yet I am dry.\u00a0 I don\u2019t feel the rain, yet.\u00a0 Will the thunder effect the river?<\/p>\n
\u00a0Absolutely not \u2013 then why am I not like it? Can I be like it?\u00a0 Can I flow the flow until my time comes to merge with something bigger?<\/p>\n
\u00a0O Allah, help me just flow.\u00a0 Help me in the midst of all the beauty, temptations, thunder, storms, help me just flow \u2013 towards You and You alone, ameen.\u00a0<\/p>\n
