On Valentine\u2019s Day, Entertainment One premiered its second season of You Me Her<\/em> on the Audience Network, operated by AT&T. I haven\u2019t watched it and don\u2019t plan to, but it\u2019s another example in a long list of media efforts to normalize that which is harmful.<\/p>\n

The show is billed as a \u201ccontemporary classic romantic comedy.\u201d Unlike Three\u2019s Company, where three heterosexual monogamous roommates lived together, this show is promoting the\u00a0\u201clifestyle\u201d choice of polyamorous relationships otherwise known as\u00a0\u201cthroupling\u201d as the \u201cin-thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

AT&T promoted the show in a press release prior to its Valentine\u2019s Day roll-out as a way for young adults to \u201cfind themselves.\u201d It stated:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat happens when this peculiar rom-com fades to black? Can they prove their best, truest, happiest lives really are together, even when more conventional alternatives beckon? They stood up to the outside world but now they have to face something even more formidable: themselves.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sadly, this is not the first or the last attempt by the media to promote perversion as normal. There\u2019s \u201cTransparent,\u201d \u201cBecoming Us,\u201d and \u201cBig Love,\u201d all designed to make anything other than monogamous heterosexual relationships \u201cnormal\u201d and \u201csocially acceptable.\u201d Even Fox\u2019s, \u201cEmpire,\u201d has jumped on the bandwagon. Anyone can be whoever they want and with whomever they want. The only thing that is important is \u201cbeing happy,\u201d \u201cbeing loved,\u201d and being \u201cthemselves.\u201d What an incredibly short-sighted, self-absorbed selfish existence.<\/p>\n

Such a worldview limits human sexuality and identity to self-perceived notions of gender that are relative. Morality is subjective, and there\u2019s really no right or wrong, except for those who disagree with such perversion. AT&T is promoting the\u00a0rationals used by many today,<\/p>\n

\u201cI was born this way.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t choose who I love.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a right to be happy just like everyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe aren\u2019t hurting anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWho is the government to legislate love?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These claims only justify harmful and perverse behavior.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

If sexual identity is fluid and dependent upon one\u2019s feelings, there\u2019s no basis to oppose necrophilia, bestiality, or sologamy as normal, and legal.<\/a><\/p>\n

In fact, last year, the effort to normalize sex with animals as an acceptable lifestyle choice was successful. A documentary won an award<\/a>\u00a0for exploring the intimate sexual relationship between a man and his lover\u2013 Dolly, the Bottlenose Dolphin. No one should have a problem with Flipper being molested. After all, who can say Flipper isn\u2019t consenting? Humans can\u2019t read dolphins\u2019 minds; it\u2019s up to each person to decide.<\/p>\n

The same argument used for throupling has been used over the past\u00a040 years<\/a>\u00a0to legalize sexual interaction with children. People are publicly advocating without shame<\/i>: \u201cI\u2019m a pedophile,<\/a> but not a monster;\u201d and, \u201cpedophilia<\/a> is natural and normal for males.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even incest activists<\/a> in the consanguinamorous community argue it\u2019s their turn to have their sexual preference and lifestyle choice validated socially and legally.<\/p>\n

The reality though, is that none of this promotes healthy relationships, productive members of society, or right role models for children. Children and young adults have enough challenges in their lives to be constantly bombarded by the media about self-absorbed and harmful sexual behavior.\u00a0Right moral behavior still exists despite AT&T\u2019s attempts to redefine it.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
