^{18\u00a0<\/sup>Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the Lord, \u201cYou have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?\u201d ^{19\u00a0<\/sup>Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his strength returned and he revived. So the spring was called En Hakkore, and it is still there in Lehi.<\/em> -Judges 15:18-19<\/p>\n}}

Scripture often highlights the contrast between victory and weakness. Moses led the people through the Red Sea only for them to rebel. Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal only to flee for his life. In Judges 15, Samson kills a thousand of his enemies only to find himself dehydrated and begging God for water to save his life.<\/p>\n

What did God do? The same thing he often does for his people\u2013he answered. In Samson\u2019s case, water came from a rock, supernaturally supplying Samson\u2019s need.<\/p>\n

Does God still do the same today? He certainly still answers his people in their times of need. Following a great success, we often run into a difficult time and find ourselves needing to turn to God once again. He uses life\u2019s circumstances to keep us focused on him.<\/p>\n

When you run into a struggle today, don\u2019t doubt God; turn to him. He may be using the situation to refocus your dependence on him.<\/p>\n
