^{11\u00a0<\/sup>Boaz replied, \u201cI\u2019ve been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband\u2014how you left your father and mother and your homeland and came to live with a people you did not know before. ^{12\u00a0<\/sup>May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.\u201d<\/em> -Ruth 2:11-12<\/p>\n}}

Boaz appears in the story of Ruth as a man of integrity. It began with his treatment of an immigrant woman named Ruth.<\/p>\n

He not only spoke kindly to her; he also provided for her needs, offering her the dignity to work to meet her needs and to help her mother-in-law in the process.<\/p>\n

At the time, he did not know what his future would hold. Only God did. Yet his attitude toward a person in need led to an incredible blessing\u2013becoming the great-grandfather of King David through whom Jesus came.<\/p>\n

The observation? Show God\u2019s love to all. You never know how God will use your compassion to others as a blessing to you.<\/p>\n
