He could have said no. He could also have bypassed the process and taken her as his wife at that moment. But he didn\u2019t. He respected God, Ruth, and his community. He would instead work through the proper process.<\/p>\n

Today, we often complain about working through human processes to achieve change. Yet most significant change requires working with others, whether in an organization or a government. When we respect the process, we are more effective in using it as an influence for good.<\/p>\n
