\u201cAfter David had constructed buildings for himself in the City of David, he prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it. ^{2\u00a0<\/sup>Then David said, \u201cNo one but the Levites may carry the ark of God, because the Lord chose them to carry the ark of the Lord and to minister before him forever.\u201d<\/em> -1 Chronicles 15:1-2<\/p>\n}

Our live and let live culture likes to perpetuate the idea that \u201cit\u2019s all good\u201d even when it comes to spirituality. Yet David experienced the reality of doing something good in the wrong way. When he sought to worship the Lord by bringing the ark to Jerusalem according to his own plans, someone died in the process.<\/p>\n

The next time David tried to move the ark, he was very careful about every detail of the process. While there is much different in how we worship Jesus today as Christians, there is one important application for our own time: there is a right way and a wrong way to worship God.<\/p>\n

This does not mean worship lacks variety or diversity, but indicates we can worship God in a way that dishonors him and even causes serious problems. Let\u2019s take a look at how we worship God today\u2013making sure we follow God his way and not ours.<\/p>\n
