\n^{9\u00a0<\/sup>Sing to him, sing praise to him;<\/em>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0tell of all his wonderful acts.<\/em>
\n^{10\u00a0<\/sup>Glory in his holy name;<\/em>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.<\/em>
\n^{11\u00a0<\/sup>Look to the Lord and his strength;<\/em>
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0seek his face always.<\/em> -1 Chronicles 16:7-11<\/p>\n}}}}
When David instructed to worship to the Lord, he began in a particular way. First, we find praise and honor to the Lord for who he is and what he has done.<\/p>\n
Second, we find a call to sing to the Lord, telling him of his great deeds.<\/p>\n
Third, we find a call to give glory to his holy name and to rejoice in him.<\/p>\n
Fourth, we find a call to look to the Lord and his strength, seeking him always.<\/p>\n
Why the order? We recognize, remember, rejoice, and reflect. These four R\u2019s can be found in many of the psalms of Scripture, reminding us of the priorities of worship that focus on the Lord rather than our own desires.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
