^{8\u00a0<\/sup>Solomon answered God, \u201cYou have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place. ^{9\u00a0<\/sup>Now, Lord God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth. ^{10\u00a0<\/sup>Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?\u201d<\/em> -2 Chronicles 1:7-10<\/p>\n}}}

Solomon was told to ask God for anything he wanted. His request? Wisdom. He realized that all the power and money in the world would be useless without the ability to manage it well.<\/p>\n

The same is true in our lives. Scripture frequently encourages us to seek wisdom above other pursuits. Education is more important than a higher income, though the two are often connected.<\/p>\n

When challenged with how to spend our time and resources, what priorities are revealed? The goal is for a life that emphasizes wisdom, along with the godly application of it, as the key to spiritual leadership.<\/p>\n
