\u201cThen the temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud, ^{14\u00a0<\/sup>and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the temple of God.\u201d<\/em> -1 Chronicles 5:13-14<\/p>\n}

When the temple was dedicated, the cloud of God\u2019s glory was so thick that the priests could not perform their services.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve wondered why God would stop his people from worshiping. Wouldn\u2019t he want his Levites to offer sacrifices, to give him praise? The one observation I see here is that God considered time in his presence more important than any act of worship. While both are good, God\u2019s presence is top priority.<\/p>\n

Are we missing God\u2019s presence because we are trying to follow his rules? How do we even know? Let us begin by coming to him with a heart of worship. Let us seek his presence. Those who seek the Lord in worship are those who will experience his presence.<\/p>\n
