Noah is special not only because of the Ark, but because of God\u2019s covenant. God didn\u2019t make many covenants in the Bible with people. Noah was one of a select few who heard these words from the Lord. In these words, we find God\u2019s promise with God and animal life via a rainbow. He would never flood the earth again in the same way. He had something else in mind for the future.<\/p>\n

When we see a rainbow today, we find it fascinating. However, we should also see it and remember God is faithful. In the thousands of years since the Flood, it has never happened again. The earth has experience relative calm, with the covenant to Noah leading to Abraham, the Jewish people, Jesus, and now to all believers across the planet. We experience different global phenomenon now. We call it Christianity.<\/p>\n

Just as with Noah, God cares for us and our well being. Even in tragic times, he is there and cares for our needs. Let us not look at Noah\u2019s life and simply think of him as a floating zookeeper. Let us see him as one who followed God\u2019s plan and experience God\u2019s plan for his life. Let us seek to do the same in ours today.<\/p>\n
