What is it?<\/span><\/h2>\nI don\u2019t think it\u2019s a real secret to anyone, many people, including myself, don\u2019t care for turkey. The stores are already looking like they\u2019ve been raided by a pack of wolves with paper lists of things to get before they\u2019re gone. Turkey-its dry, it doesn\u2019t fit in your freezer, it doesn\u2019t fit in your oven. You can do all the things with it you can with a turkey. Slice it, dip it, make sandwiches out of the next day or three. There wasn\u2019t a turkey at that party. Lots of deer, duck, fish that washed up on shore. These people were just happy to be alive. That first winter made snow angels-real snow angels, out of about have the group. Indians gave them corn, and probably the deer. It was dried or boiled. Yum.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\nIf we want to be traditionists, lets boil our turkeys. And no one had a pig there either. So, that delicious ham we all like over the turkey, yeah, you couldn\u2019t find one. If they had one, they would have surely eaten it somewhere between snowpacks that froze old lady Sorenson to her rocker. That\u2019s where they found her, in mid-stitchery.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u2026thanks to God.<\/span><\/h3>\nWe are giving thanks to God. Hard to get around that statement with those who don\u2019t believe in God.\u00a0 We give thanks for family, homes, food. We take a time out and we do-that. But we have to find the cream cheese and candlesticks firsPhilippians 4:6-7 NIV \u2013 Do not be anxious about anything, but \u2013 Bible Gateway<\/a>t.<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\nThis is the only holiday the vegetarian and vegan crowd could come the closest to being on traditional point. You can eat some corn and some squash, and you will have been flashed back to 1621. You guys could probably even wear the clothing and make the whole show work.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\nAnd let\u2019s not even talk about pumpkin pie. There was no coffee and cream to go with your desert back then and where is the Baileys? There was no desert. Someone might have gotten the idea to make a beer. They made the yeast out of table scraps and let it rot for a while then cooked it. How far do you go in your experimentation before you say \u2018yeah, that\u2019s just bad.
