Hamilton nerds, rejoice. It\u2019s a fun Friday.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

This morning, I posted an article about the Trump-Stormy Daniels debacle, along with the lyrics: \u201cFollow the money and see where it goes\/the Emperor has no clothes.\u201d And a friend responded with, \u201cIt\u2019s The Stormy Pamphlet!\u201d For those not versed in Hamilton, this is a play on \u201cThe Reynolds Pamphlet.\u201d It\u2019s the part where Alexander Hamilton\u2019s political rivals release the details of the torrid affair that ultimately leads to his political demise. I trust I don\u2019t have to overdraw the connection here.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Anyway, I challenged this friend, who\u2019s always excelled at satirical composition, to actually write \u201cThe Stormy Pamphlet.\u201d Which he did, in about five minutes. Because of his military connections, he asked me to leave his name off of the post, but wanted to share it anyway. (Here are links to listen to<\/a> or read lyrics from\u00a0the Reynolds Pamphlet,\u00a0<\/a>which this parody is based upon;\u00a0and actual Reynolds Pamphlet, a\u00a0historical document from 1797.<\/a>)\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Enjoy this brilliant spoof and have a happy weekend. May Monday find our Tweeter-in-Chief \u201cin the eye of a hurricane.\u201d Or, at the very least, in the eye of a very Stormy legal battle \u2026<\/em><\/p>\n
