In the context of the \u201cdeath with dignity\u201d discussion, commenter cthulhu suggested a book called Man\u2019s Search for Meaning<\/i>, by Viktor Frenkl, which is prominent enough to have its own wikipedia entry<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So I popped into the library to check it out. \u00a0And, of the three copies, one was missing, the other two were already checked out, and, besides that, there were two holds already.<\/p>\n

So either this humble blog\u2019s small readership is so local that everyone ran off to the library just before I did, based on cthulhu\u2019s recommendation, or \u2014 what? \u00a0It doesn\u2019t seem likely reading material for a high school class. \u00a0Maybe it\u2019s assigned reading at the local community college and four students decided they didn\u2019t want to buy the book? \u00a0Maybe it\u2019s connection to the Maynard issue is so strong that it sent everyone running who had once read and wanted to re-read it? \u00a0Anyway, it\u2019s just an interesting coincidence.<\/p>\n
