Imagine if Orbitz\u2019s airfare section was structured the same as its hotel section. \u00a0You type in the details of location and travel dates, and up pop your choices \u2014 except that instead of just selecting based on price, you click on a further screen with details on the airline and the airplane. \u00a0We scrutinize the hotel we\u2019re looking at, not just for the cheapest price, but the amenities, the decor, the size of the room, the number of favorable vs. unfavorable reviews, and so on. <\/p>\n

Do we even have an option to scrutinize an airline in the same way? \u00a0What if we could look at it\u2019s on-time record, in-flight amenities, and, most of all, the seat size, amount of legroom? \u00a0Perhaps the likelihood of being able to fit our carry-ons in the overhead compartments vs. them being stuffed to the gills by people with priority seating, or some information on whether the airline enforces carry-on size restrictions. \u00a0Would you choose the more expensive airline if you could tell, right there on the screen, that there was more legroom? \u00a0<\/div>\n
