Does your Detroit suburb suck? \u00a0An investigation<\/a>\u201d won\u2019t mean much to you. \u00a0But if you are, you\u2019ll enjoy at least portions of the wit\/snark. \u00a0My own hometown is labelled \u201csoul-suck\u201d and I\u2019m not going to argue with it.<\/p>\nCome to think of it: \u00a0if you\u2019re not from the Detroit area, I invite you to play the game of asking yourself what the characterizations would be like for the \u2018burbs in your metro area. \u00a0I\u2019m told that there is now something of a revival and certain sections of Detroit are becoming hip, but, to the extent that this is true, it\u2019s very new, and prior to that, your relative degree of hipsterdom determined which particular Detroit suburb you gravitated toward. <\/p>\n
