Continuing my look back at the various things I\u2019ve written:<\/p>\n

25. February 10, 2015, \u201cThinking about Obama\u2019s denial of Radical Islamism, and his \u201canti-Crusades\u201d speech<\/a>\u201c, on his Prayer Breakfast comments, plus \u201cObama seems to think that ISIS is a new incarnation of the People\u2019s Temple. Is he right<\/a>?\u201d from February 19th, and\u00a0\u201cDoes it matter whether Obama is a Christian?<\/a>\u201d from February 25th, all connected to the question of what, and who, defines what a religion is.<\/p>\n

26. \u00a0February 25, 2015, \u201cOn the Pullman National Monument<\/a>,\u201d a bit of a gripe that we\u2019re diluting the \u201cnational park\u201d brand. \u00a0Note that February 27th was my first day as an \u201cofficial\u201d Patheos blogger. \u00a0As a follow-up, I later wrote \u201cIs the Pullman National Monument whitewashing history?<\/a>\u201d about the turnover of the neighborhood.<\/p>\n

27. \u00a0March 2, 2015, \u201cNew study: Single upper class women are 4 times as likely to abort<\/a>,\u201d my re-interpretation of a Brookings study that\u2019s used to argue that poor women have insufficient access to abortion.<\/p>\n

28. \u00a0March 17, 2015, \u201cIs Islamic State\u2019s destruction shocking and radical? The Saudis say \u201cmeh\u201d<\/a>\u201d \u2014 shortly after ISIS destroyed key ancient sites, I observed that this is nothing different than what the Saudis have been doing, with historical sites connected to their own religion.<\/p>\n

29. \u00a0March 22 \u2013 23, 2015, \u201cAre Catholic schools worth it? Or should we throw in the towel?<\/a>\u201d and \u201cAre Catholic schools worth it? Part two: dynamic scoring<\/a>,\u201d the title of which should be self-explanatory.<\/p>\n

30. \u00a0April 8, 2015, \u201cThe Jane Plan for Old Age Provision<\/a>,\u201d which proposes a flat Dutch-style benefit and universal, pooled top-up accounts.<\/p>\n

31. \u00a0April 13 and 15, 2015, \u201cWhen did the idea of the \u201cworking poor\u201d become a bad thing?<\/a>\u201d and \u201c\u201cThe [working] poor you will always have with you\u201d: more on minimum and \u201cliving\u201d wages<\/a>\u201d on the fact that proponents of a high minimum wage are losing sight of the fact that welfare benefits for the working poor were originally meant to promote work over welfare dependency with gradual phase-outs. \u00a0Also, May 31, \u201cMinimum wage and the dignity of work<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

32. \u00a0May 16, 2015, \u201cWere the seeds of Detroit\u2019s downfall built into its very rise?<\/a>\u201d the core idea of which is that Detroit\u2019s sudden prosperity with the auto industry boom produced a much lower density than older cities, which meant that it suffered much more from its crash than it otherwise would have.<\/p>\n

33. \u00a0May 30, 2015, \u201cOn Detroit, Jeb Bush is a little bit right. . .<\/a>\u201d \u2014 Hamtramck\u2019s appeal to immigrants meant its population dropped less than Detroit\u2019s, but it\u2019s still pretty dang poor.<\/p>\n

34. \u00a0September 30, 2015 (yes, skipping the whole summer, when nothing really jumped out at me), \u201cIs there a \u201cretirement crisis\u201d?<\/a>\u201d and a related post on retirement, \u201cThe Three Stages of Retirement (warning! wholly anecdotal!)<\/a>\u201d<\/p>\n

36. \u00a0November 11, 2015, \u201cA few words on Dutch moms<\/a>,\u201d who, as it turns out, aren\u2019t interested in Leaning In.<\/p>\n

37. \u00a0November 13, 2015, \u201cHow to make immediate legalization work<\/a>.\u201d \u00a0My answer, which I couldn\u2019t interest anyone in, was to give displaced workers standing to sue the government if they fail to enforce immigration law.<\/p>\n

38. \u00a0December 2, 2015, \u201cWhat if diversity is our . . . liability?<\/a>\u201d in which I suggest that we admit to ourselves that having multiple ethnic and religious groups in the United States is a challenge.<\/p>\n

So that\u2019s my tour of blog posts. \u00a0I hadn\u2019t intended to link to quite so many, but after a while it became interesting to me to look back to see what I\u2019d written. \u00a0I have to admit, though, that I thought that looking back would give me some insights in how to improve my blogging in the year to come, to be more interesting to readers and to me, too, but I came up empty.<\/p>\n

One last item before I click \u201cpublish\u201d and check on the kids: some thank yous.<\/p>\n
