That is, if you\u2019re living in a state with its primary today.<\/p>\n

And, yes, I studied the polls<\/a>, to see that Cruz has a modest chance of overtaking Trump, if enough Rubio and Kasich supporters choose him as their alternative to Trump, so I\u2019m hoping that enough other voters are doing the same for it to make a difference.<\/p>\n

In Ohio, well, I guess Kasich can play one useful role in keeping that state\u2019s delegates from Trump. \u00a0In Florida, Rubio has no chance. \u00a0And then, one hopes, Rubio and Kasich leave, leaving Cruz to go head-to-head as the primaries become increasingly winner-take-all. \u00a0Though I do wish that the delegates\u00a0were all awarded proportionately, because a contested convention doesn\u2019t scare me at all.<\/p>\n

So let\u2019s regroup tonight (though in the meantime, I\u2019ll be the Bad Parent furitively checking my phone for results while at the band concert \u2014 only when my son isn\u2019t playing, though!).<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
