Here\u2019s a shopping district that we stumbled upon looking for somewhere to eat after the Imperial War Museum shut down<\/a> due to a power outage: \u00a0the Lower Marsh area of the Waterloo district. \u00a0They\u2019ve even got their own website<\/a>. \u00a0It would have been nice to explore the area more, but, well, three tween through teenage boys wouldn\u2019t have been willing to put up with it for too long.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the streetscape \u2014 though what this picture doesn\u2019t show is the row of lunch vendors, serving a variety of food, mostly types of Asian but also one with what looked a lot like a pot of Kraft macaroni and cheese, and various people on their lunch breaks.<\/p>\n

\nAnd \u2014 I was quite envious \u2014 three<\/strong> bookstores in one block!<\/p>\n

Plus a knitting specialty shop.<\/p>\n
