The school district summer school seems to be exclusively for kids that need to make up failing grades; no \u201cenrichment\u201d-type classes that I can see. \u00a0The local community college has a summer program for kids 8 \u2013 14, and 16+ is allowed to take credit classes, but nothing for 15 year olds (he turns 15 a week after school gets out). \u00a0And I\u2019m coming up empty on volunteer opportunities, and I\u2019m assuming it\u2019d be tricky to find a job as a not-quite, and then just-barely 15 year old.<\/p>\n
