Just a gripe:\u00a0 I\u2019m really, really getting tired of the spammers which show up as pageviews in the Blogger statistics, with websites like vampirestat.com, seoanalyses.com, adsensewatchdog.com, 7secretsearch.com, and others.<\/p>\n
They\u2019re harmless, as long as you know enough not to click on unknown links.\u00a0 Apparently, according to sources out their on the internet, these sites want to lure the unsuspecting blogger into clicking on a link, which takes them to a website where they either try to sell you something, or infect your computer with malware, or other undesirable consequences.\u00a0 And since I do avoid clicking on anything that seems suspect (checking the URL of even links from instapundit.com to see if it\u2019s a credible news source or not, after getting a virus a couple years ago), I haven\u2019t fallen victim.<\/p>\n
But it\u2019s extremely frustrating to think, \u201cwow \u2014 lots of pageviews!\u201d and then discover that real people weren\u2019t visiting my blog after all.\u00a0 (And right now, I\u2019m running out of energy for the project of \u201ccomment on other blogs, say something witty, and link to your own.)<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
